Career Experience and Capabilities - The Past
Prior to establishing THE HYDRO-GEOLOGie INSTITUTE:
More than 10 years experience in senior environmental manager and then specialist project manager roles for an environment and planning consulting company, specialising in environmental impact assessments, strategic planning and environmental management and regulatory approvals at Local, State and Federal Government levels.
Several years prior experience in environmental engineering and environmental project management roles.
Assisted in the coordination of large and complex project approvals, including successful resolution of stakeholder issues for mine development (including exploration, construction, operations, rehabilitation, offsets and closure) and other infrastructure (including roads, rail, port development, electricity transmission lines, water and gas pipelines).
Chaired, led and participated in meetings with project managers, contractors and consultants to appropriately resource teams (from senior to officer level) for the delivery of project approvals within targeted timeframes.
A proven track record for helping achieve successful approvals for State significant projects in Australia within allocated budgets.
Mission Statement - Now and the Future
With two decades of prior experience coordinating and collaborating with planning and environmental specialists across all disciplines, including surface water, flooding, geochemistry, subsidence of natural and built features, groundwater, heritage, noise, air, traffic, ecology, soils, visual landscape and socio-economics, efforts are now focused on Aaron’s interests and renowned strengths in all water-related elements.
Aaron’s project coordination, budgeting, scheduling, design and conceptualisation skills are now being refined, further developed and targeted to help educate and navigate clients through the increasingly complex water regulation framework being applied across Australia.
In collaboration with Australia’s leading hydrogeologists, hydrologists, hydrogeochemists, geologists, field scientists, laboratory technicians and computer programmers, Aaron’s capabilities and refined skill sets will assist in the development of investigation programs, preparation of impact assessments, management plans, peer reviews, audits and reporting, as well as liaison with all levels of government authorities, research groups and the general public.
